***COVID-19 UPDATES***

5/26/2020: Effective Wednesday, May 27th we will resume our normal business office hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm on the phones. Our office will continue to remain closed to in-person visits until further notice. We hope that this return to normal business hours will help us to better serve the needs of our customers as our community begins to reopen for the season.

4/28/2020: Governor Mills has extended the stay-at-home order for Maine through May 31st and outlined a gradual reopening of the state. Please see below for the full text of this order. For specific questions regarding this order or local ordinances, we ask that you please contact state or town officials for clarification.

4/2/2020: In response to a number of inquiries from our seasonal customers and businesses, there have been a number of mandates issued both on the state and town levels. Please see the links below for specific mandates that could impact you. Also, at this time we are aware that Wells, York, and Kennebunk have closed all beaches while Ogunquit has closed all beaches, the Marginal Way, and the parking lots that service them.

3/20/2020: In an effort to mitigate exposure and ensure business continuity, KKW will be dividing our customer service department into 2 separate teams. Because of this, we will need to reduce our hours slightly. Our customer service lines will now be open for calls from 9:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday. Thank you again to all of our great customers for your patience and understanding during this time. We are taking every step to ensure that when you turn on the tap, we will be there.

3/18/2020: The March 25, 2020 meeting of the Board of Trustees has been cancelled. The District is following recommendations from the State and Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as Homeland Security in dealing with COVID-19. The April 29, 2020 meeting may be held remotely. The District is currently setting up the software to enable remote meetings, and the State Legislature just approved guidelines for meetings to comply with the Freedom of Access Act (FOAA part G).

3/16/2020:***OFFICE CLOSED*** – KKW will be closing our office to foot traffic until further notice. We will still be in the office manning the phones and are able to answer any questions you may have or process payments remotely. If you must stop by our office, please call ahead to schedule a time. Our meter shop will remain open for plumbers and property owners in need of meters to turn on for the season and we are still scheduling service calls. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.

3/11/2020: While Daisy loves greeting our customers in person, in light of recent concerns with COVID-19, KKW is taking the stance of practicing “social distancing.” What does this mean? We simply ask that if you are not feeling well, that you contact us first via phone or email with any questions or concerns you may have. 99% of our office visits can be handled remotely. Want to drop off a payment? EFT payments using your checking account information can be made free of charge through our website or by calling our customer service lines. There is no fee for EFT payments, only for debit or credit card transactions. Need to connect a new service? We can send or receive new service applications via email or fax. Still want to say hi to Daisy? We will happily email or text you a photo 🙂 While we certainly don’t want to be alarmists, we want to practice some common sense during this time. We thank you for your understanding.
